Something for Valentines Day

I discovered this site. Probably everyone except me knows about it.

There are some really nice shawl patterns. I am putting off any knitting content. I have a pile of sock cuffs that are headed to sock hell. It is too shameful to take pictures of. In a week I have knitted 6 sock cuffs and no socks. bah I just can't settle down to anything. Do you ever feel like that? Things look interesting, but not so interesting that you want to cast on. I need a swift kick in the bum

Also I find it really interesting that Interweave Press set up a KAL even before their Sock book was available. Never mind, I am just cold and cranky :-) My computer is located in the room over the garage. I have a small heater up here, but it is a bit on the chilly side. In the summer it is very warm.

ohhhhhhhhhhh Someone gave me a Valentines Present. Someone who knows I am nutty about these things. It is long so you might not want to watch the whole thing. The place is just magic :-)

What a beautiful, beautiful video!! Thank you so much for sharing that. I wondered at the very first moment, the horseshoe shape, if that was Iguacu. About 30 years ago I bought a jazz album by a group called Passport, with the title and cover photo of Iguacu. And I've since seen other panoramic photos, but the sound and sights are more than I ever imagined. I will be sharing this with lots of friends. I wonder if the turntable still works??

I got scared, because maybe something icky was gonna pop up and startle me. Because that's how I am!

No scary things popping up here. I hate being scared. The only scary things around here, is my knitting :-)
There is another video at YouTube. It is very short and from the Nature program. Full of flyovers. But this is closer I think to what you would see if you were there

Oh, I would never want to leave. I love being near water and the sounds of water. This is truly a wondrous place.

Unfortunately I do know about restless knitting syndrome. Cast on a pile of stuff and then get nowhere. I usually end up winding it all back up.

I've been to the Vintage Knits site, but haven't made anything yet. I love that style!

I can totally relate to restless knitter syndrome (it must be related to February blahs). I did finish a pair yesterday, but early in the week had 9 pairs of socks started, 2 sweaters, 2 scarfs and a pair of mitts. I won't mention the "banished" WIP;s :). The good thing is, we aren't alone!
